AUTODESK® INVENTOR NASTRAN ESSENTIALS – 1 Days NASTRAN is a world-class Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package built directly into Autodesk Inventor. In this course, students will briefly revise the theory of thermal mechanics and finite element analysis, and undertake many hands-on exercises to solve a variety of thermal analysis problems. • Study types:  Linear Steady State Heat Transfer  Nonlinear Steady State Heat Transfer  Nonlinear Transient Heat Transfer • Material thermal properties:  Specific heat (c)  Thermal conductivity (k)  Can be made a function of another property (such as temperature)  Coefficient of volumetric thermal expansion (α) • Thermal load types:  Temperature  Convection  Radiation  Heat generation  Heat flux • Analysis outputs:  Temperature  Steady-state or transient, depending on study type  Thermal expansion  Specific heat flow  Thermal gradient  Heat flux (in watts)  Unfortunately, thermal transmittance (U) must be manually calculated by (Heat Flux)/(Change in temperature) Who should attend and Course Prerequisites.
